A little place for a little breakfast for a local crowd… with no sign and an impenetrable locked door. (read on to hear why)
Fred’s is a members only breakfast club. Our exclusive club offers breakfast 7 days a week from 6 until 11 am. The atmosphere is simple, the friends abundant and the coffee is always free, but you have to get it yourself.
With only 31 seats at a counter surrounding the cooking area while overlooking the river it might be difficult to get a seat on the weekend in the summer in New Hope, but those weekend breakfast lines will form elsewhere because the only people Fred lets in are our members who will have a “really cool secret key” to our locked door. Make a note of our address because we do not have a sign either.
Breakfast made to order, fresh homemade baked goods, a woodstove and a river view for 20 bucks a year, what a deal!
New members will be invited by sponsor of a current member only. Fred’s is no longer accepting applications, so you’ll need to sneak in behind an existing member who’s not paying attention. Once you’re in – find the Waiting List in the lobby and cross out the 20 last names and scribble in your name instead.
